Topic: Burnout Resilience Training
Community learned how to better understand and recognize burnout, while gaining practical tools to build resilience in both your professional and personal life. The training provided attendees with immediate strategies for managing stress, along with longer-term practices that can help strengthen relationships, improve well-being, and support sustainable success in your work. They had the opportunity to put these evidence-based strategies into practice and identify ways to incorporate them into your everyday routine. The training was facilitated by Kim Paull Coaching, led by Kim Paull, an ICF-Certified Coach, Speaker, Trainer, and Guide from Rhode Island.
Topic: No Wrong Door Poverty Simulation Training
The No Wrong Door Initiative invited the community to immerse yourself in a poverty simulation in order to experience the challenges faced by those in poverty. Unless you had experienced poverty, it was difficult to understand the reality of it. The poverty simulation was a 2.5-hour immersive learning experience. This free interactive event increased understanding of poverty, inspired local change, and helped to eliminate barriers through understanding.
